Reflecting on the North Dakota Flood of 1997! (credit: WDAZ 8 via This Day in Weather History)4/18/2017 DISCUSSION: As we look back to April 1997, we are brought back to the historic North Dakota floods that impacted hundreds of thousands of people. As shown in the video above, periods of heavy and prolonged rainfall led to major widespread impacts which devastated many communities due to tremendous rainfall accumulation. Although there was a decent advanced forecast prior to this event, there is no question that this heavy rainfall event had major implications on infrastructure and residential areas.

Is the white lowercase d next to the white lowercase w and beside the white lowercase a and the white lowercase z next to the white lowercase letters w, d, and a and beside the white channel number 8 while they zoom off of the white uppercase words devils lake-grand forks beside the white ABC logo before the announcer introduces milo smith, Jane Joyce, meteorologist John wheeler, and pat sweeney sports on the WDAZ opening @ 6:00 pm that re-aired on ABC in 1997?
