DISCUSSION: As a weak low-pressure system continues to moving towards and east of the Delmarva Peninsula, heavier snowfall is continuing impacts parts of Southern and Eastern New England! Heading down towards the greater NYC metro area, there is more of a mixed precipitation and rainfall event taking place as warmer air has intruded off of the Western Atlantic Ocean. This has kept the rain/snow line stationary and positioned just north of the I-95 corridor passing west-to-east across the length of Connecticut! However, as indicated below by the National Weather Service in Upton, NY the threat remains for snowfall and icing across Eastern New York and Southern Connecticut!
