DISCUSSION: Across the Pacific Northwest, there is a near-historic rain/wind event beginning to unfold courtesy of multiple meteorological factors coming together (including but not limited to the remnants of former Typhoon Songda as well as a strong extratropical low pressure system). That being said, the impacts along the immediate coastlines of both Washington and Oregon will be pronounced tonight and into the day tomorrow.
