A MODELED VIEW OF THE CARBON MONOXIDE EMISSIONS FROM RECENT CANADIAN WILDFIRES! (credit: Earth)5/10/2016
DISCUSSION: As very destructive wildfires rage on across parts of Central to Southern Canada, tremendous amounts of carbon monoxide have been produced and injected into the atmosphere via the wildfires persistence. Attached below is a neat modeled view of the areas containing particularly high concentrations of carbon monoxide within an animated fluid framework. Note how you can identify the diurnal oscillation of the intensity of the aforementione carbon monoxide production over this 9 day period.
