Most Memorable Weather Event: Late March of 2014, I witnessed my first ever storm rotation! Strong thunderstorms had been moving through the Sacramento valley that afternoon, with a few that had become tornado warned. A tornado formed over South Placer county and made its way to west Roseville where I lived, dropping and and then pulling back a funnel cloud over and over. While I never got to see the funnel cloud in person, I did manage to see rotation in the clouds just as it passed over my neighborhood!

Hometown: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Colleges/Universities Attended: Belmont University (2016-2018) and The University of Tennessee at Martin (2018-Present)

Most Memorable Weather Event: This is tough for me because I have been through so many events! I have lived through the 2004 Hurricane Season, an ice storm, and a hailstorm that accumulated a few inches of hail on the ground! One of the most memorable events was Hurricane Katrina in 2005 not because of what the storm did, but the aftermath of it. I lived in Central Alabama at the time, so we were spared from the horrors of the storm, but after it struck, my twin sister, Kristina, started getting called Katrina because of the storm. We were in the car loop line waiting for our mother to pick us up from school and I heard “Katrina and Shannon Sullivan.” I cannot even imagine what she felt that day when she heard her name on the speaker messed up like that because of a storm.
