INCREDIBLE VIEW OF A PHOTOGENIC SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORM OVER TURKEY EARLIER TODAY! (credit: Meteo Europe)

DISCUSSION: As a fairly strong low-pressure system marched across parts of Central/Eastern Europe over the past couple of days, another round of strong to severe storms erupted over many places in and around Turkey.  This particular shot captured a strong supercell thunderstorm which had been positioned over Edirne, Turkey as of much earlier this evening (local time)!  Over the next day or so, there will remain to be a reasonable threat for additional severe weather as warm, moist air continues to sustain more than sufficient instability combined with the necessary trigger as provided by the aforementioned low-pressure system!  For more information on this and other high-impact weather content across Europe, click here!
