DISCUSSION: As ENSO forecast continue to indicate an expected quick transition from a particularly strong El Niño (which is currently on a steady weakening trend) to a moderate to strong La Niña by or before Autumn kicks into high gear. Attached within the graphic below is a neat graphic recently released by the Climate Prediction Center concerning the upcoming impacts expected due to the current status of ENSO and the developing changes discussed above.
