DISCUSSION: As the recently strong El Niño begins to fade away and the developing La Niña continues to build in across the Central and Eastern Pacific Ocean, there will likely be very different atmospheric consequences as this cool-ENSO phase begins to completely take control. As discussed in the post below courtesy of NOAA's climate.gov, there will be very different impacts on both the general day-to-day weather patterns as well as the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific hurricane seasons.
