WINDY CONDITIONS TO BE EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND ACROSS MUCH OF THE TRI-STATE AREA! (credit: NWS New York, NY)
Discussion: As a cold front associated with a weak low pressure system to the north of the tri-state area pushes through Saturday evening, the strong return flow behind the cold front will likely produce fairly blustery conditions. In light of the possibility for some light snow/rain showers, the lower portion of the atmosphere will be well mixed making wind your conditions increasingly more likely and stronger winds are more easily brought down to the surface. As noted below by the National Weather Service office in Upton, New York there is a good possibility for wind gusts up to 60 mph.
